Emily Housey is an accomplished creative branding expert, consultant, speaker, and editor with a strong passion for design and strategic business solutions.

Since founding Housey Designs in 2017, Emily grew the business while being a full-time college student at the University of Missouri. She graduated with a degree in Journalism Strategic Communication with an Art Direction. Housey Designs evolved from creating customized paintings and shotskis into a design agency after Emily found her passion for brand strategy and design.

Throughout her college career, Emily was recognized for her entrepreneurial spirit and expertise. She was awarded the Entrepreneur Scholarship Storefront in April 2019, which included a storefront in the MU Student Union and a $2,000 grant to launch Housey Designs LLC. She has also been invited as a motivational speaker at esteemed events and educational institutions, including the first annual RE(EDU) conference at Cornell Business School. Emily continues to inspire others with her entrepreneurial journey and expertise in graphic design, brand strategy, and project management every year which has made her a sought-after speaker.

As the Founder and CEO of Housey Designs LLC, Emily has been instrumental in providing strategic guidance to clients, helping them build strong and memorable brands. She is involved in all aspects of the creative process, from ideation and research to design, branding, marketing, and building the foundation for a business and operations blueprint. Emily's expertise and dedication have led to the launch of numerous brands, including the Begin Planner by Christi Lukasiak. In less than five months, Housey Designs orchestrated the planning, design, and branding efforts, resulting in the planner selling out worldwide within four hours.

 

From 2021 - 2023, Emily acted as the Co-Owner and Founder of Good Side Media Co, a global photography and multi-media company with her business partner, Peter Hurley. She was responsible for operations and creatives for the world's largest headshot photography network. Emily has directed international branding and photography projects for renowned companies such as Chubb Insurance, AON Insurance, DBS Bank and other renowned financial institutions. Her exceptional management skills and creative vision have enabled her to create and execute million-dollar photography projects across the country and direct shoots across the world. She left the photography world to focus back on her true passion of blending branding and business strategy.

Emily entered the Alcohol industry as a Graphic Designer at Monaco Cocktails in college. Emily entered 818 as employee 25 and holds the position of Illinois and Indiana Market Manager for 818 Tequila. While balancing many roles and industries, the roots of Housey Designs has always been her first love and she continues to grow her businesses every day.
